The Journey Between Head and Heart

I believe counselling is a space where your story is truly heard where we explore the journey between head and heart to help you find clarity, strength, and direction.

I’m Nadia, a qualified counsellor based in Victoria Point, working with adults from all walks of life across the Redlands and Brisbane Bayside. I’m a member of the Australian Counselling Association and have over 25 years of experience supporting people to feel confident, connected, and empowered.

The name Life Between reflects something deeply personal to me. Growth and change often happen in the in-between moments between anxiety and calm, between relationships, between love and loss, between who we are and who we believe we should be. These spaces can feel uncomfortable and uncertain, yet they also hold the greatest potential for self-discovery.

My approach is person-centred, blending empathy and authenticity with evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, self-reflection tools, and values alignment work. Together, we’ll challenge negative self-beliefs, develop emotional regulation skills, and build a positive self-image that allows you to live authentically.

I draw from my own lived experiences of life’s rough seasons grief, loss, family breakdown, trauma, and the rebuilding process giving me a deep empathy for clients facing anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship struggles, or a crisis of self-worth. I know the courage it takes to make change, and I believe no one should have to go through that journey alone.

Whether in person or online, my goal is for you to feel celebrated, accepted, and empowered to discover and embrace your best self.

Taking the first step can feel daunting, but it’s also the most important. Whether you call, email, or use the online booking system, you’ll be met with warmth and understanding from the very first contact. This is your opportunity to share what’s brought you here and to ask any questions you may have.

Initial Consultation

Your first session is about getting to know you your story, your challenges, and your goals. We’ll talk about what you hope to gain from counselling and explore the approaches that may best support you. This is also a chance for you to experience my style and see if it feels like the right fit for you.

Tailored Sessions

Every person is different, so your sessions will be shaped around your needs, preferences, and pace. Using a person-centred approach with evidence-based therapies like CBT, mindfulness, and narrative techniques, we’ll work on practical strategies while creating space for reflection and insight.

Counselling is a journey, and I’m here to walk alongside you for as long as you need. As you gain clarity, confidence, and coping skills, we’ll adjust our focus to support your continued growth.
